Pembrey Country Park
The park is set against the spectacular backdrop of the Gower Peninsula and overlooking the coastal scenery of Carmarthen Bay, providing a superb blend of coast and countryside. The railway and club house are set in around 202 hectares of glorious parkland, next to one of the best beaches in the UK.
Visitors interested in model steam engines and examples of other motive power will enjoy the sight of scale model miniature locomotives working on the railway, on our 490m of raised 3½” & 5” gauge track and 1220m of 5” & 7¼” gauge ground level track.
Usually trains are run by the club on the first weekend of every month, and also on Bank Holiday Sundays and Mondays. When visitors can enjoy a train ride around our extensive track.
How to get to us
Pembrey Country Park can be found just off the A484 Llanelli to Carmarthen coast road just outside Burry Port. The park is approximately a half hour drive from Carmarthen and a similar distance from Junction 48 M4. Follow the brown directional signs.
